Ice bathing carnival at the Warnemünde winter festival

The ice bathing carnival is a group dip in the Baltic Sea during the Warnemünde winter festival, run by the Rostock and Warnemünde tourist board on the promenade between the lighthouse and Hotel Neptun and on the beach. In 2026 the Rostocker Seehunde winter swimming club and the Eisbademeisters held it on Saturday 7 February from 1:30 pm at beach access 11; the day before both groups held an opening dip, and the day after the Seehunde held a hangover dip. A Baltic coast portal expects the 2027 festival again in late January or early February. Date and programme of the carnival dip are not yet announced.
