About this event
The Rostock Eisbademeisters open their seventh ice bathing season on 31 October 2026 at 2 pm with a group dip in the Baltic Sea. The meeting point is DLRG lifeguard tower 3 on the beach at Warnemünde. The volunteer initiative, founded in 2020, links winter bathing with fundraising for social causes in Rostock; this season the money goes to a Rostock association for children with cancer and their families. Donations are collected in cash on the beach, through company sponsorship of single bathing days and on a crowdfunding platform. Everyone is invited to join the dip or to donate on the spot. The organisers ask that only people who are fit enter the cold water, and never alone.
