About this event
The Amsterdam Ice Swim on 12 and 13 December 2026 hosts the Dutch ice swimming championship in the open water at Natuurspeeltuin Jeugdland in Amsterdam-Oost. Races cover 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1000 metres freestyle, 100 metres breaststroke and the relays 4 x 250 and 4 x 50 metres freestyle. Distances of 200 metres and more require membership of IISA Nederland, and the 1000 metres requires a verifiable qualification swim. Every swimmer wears a tow float on a swim belt. The detailed schedule for 2026 has not yet been published; registration for the races opened on 15 October. Hot drinks, soup and sandwiches are sold at the Jeugdland restaurant.
