About this place

Sofiebadet is a bath and culture house from 1909 on Sofiegade in Christianshavn, about 200 metres from the metro, run by the association Foreningen Sofiebadet. The Kurbad is booked as a two-hour visit including changing and gives access to a sauna, a steam bath with a salt scrub, a cold-water bucket and a cold tub; towel, slippers, a pestemal and filtered water are included. Hammam sessions, massages and private tub baths can be added. There are a rest room and a small café, but no pools or whirlpools. Swimwear is required, children from 12 years are welcome with their parents, and on Thursday from 16:00 the bath is for women only.
